Elite, Age Group, Morning, and Afternoon Time Blocks

When you register for an event in 2018, you'll see the following options:

• Elite: The Elite Heat, for our most competitive racers, is split between Elite Male and Elite Female. These are the first two start times of each race day. Racers in the Elite Heat are eligible for cash prizes and Elite rankings. For more info, see the Elite Category FAQ.
  
• Age Group: Similar to the Elite Heat except in this category, you only compete against racers in the same age bracket (and gender based on heat capacity) as you, each bracket having its own start time. The top three finishers in each age bracket receive awards. For more info, see the Age Group Category FAQ
• Morning: The Morning Time Block takes place between 8:00AM-12:00PM. Racers will be auto-generated a specific start time within that time range 10 days prior to race day. Morning and Afternoon Time Blocks are Open Heats. Open Heats are for all ages and skill levels, no prizes are awarded for these heats.
  
• Afternoon: The Afternoon Time Block will be all the heats starting at 12:15PM and later. Racers will be auto-generated a specific start time within that time range 10 days prior to race day. Morning and Afternoon Time Blocks are Open Heats. Open Heats are for all ages and skill levels, no prizes are awarded for these heats.

Racers registering as Individual will be given the opportunity to select a Preferred Start Time within your selected time block during registration for Open Heats (Morning & Afternoon). While our staff will do their best to accommodate, preferred start times are not guaranteed.

Racers that are Team members will be grouped within their selected time block only.

For example, if a team has members registered for BOTH Morning and Afternoon Time Blocks, all Morning Time Block team members will be moved together within the Morning Time Block, and all Afternoon Time Block team members will be grouped together within the Afternoon Time Block.
